- I am a retired nurse & took up quilting when I retired. I love hand work & only occasionally piece on the machine. I hand quilt also. My favorite method is needleturn applique. I am a mother to 2 daughters, grandmother of 5 & g-grandmother of 8. I also like to paint , crochet, almost any type craft.
