Corners are done

The 4 corners are done. This is an enjoyable way to pass some hot hours of the day in A/C comfort.
Applique will probably always remain my favorite form of quilting.

So...debate going on with self. More of the applique on the sides or do some piecing for the center? lots of blocks in that center! Perhaps some block piecing & then reward myself with more applique.
Sounds like a good plan to me! :)

Corners

Maybe a corner is the way to begin this? The vine & bottom center leaves are not nearly as dark as they seem. I really need a better camera! Or perhaps it is the operator? :)

I've been an admirer of Kim Diehl since I saw her first applique. I decided that I will make one of her designs that has also appealed to me from the beginning.
The book is: Simple Traditions, the pattern is Passing Fancy.

I always like an applique , as well as a pieced quilt & a quilt being quilted , on going.Maybe I just like confusion? :)
